The tasty sweet marzipan paste is ideal for further processing, for example for creamy cakes, pralines, chocolates or ice cream. Marzipan paste is also one ingredient for known sweets such as Mozart balls, Dominosteine, marzipan buns and marzipan loafs.

Marzipan is originally from the Middle East, where it was particularly popular at the sultan’s court (“harem confections”). When marzipan got into Europe in the Middle Ages, it was first used as medicine, among others as aphrodisiac and heart medicine. Today, the sweet marzipan is known all over the world. In the production of marzipan, very finely ground almonds and sugar are heated up and stirred until the classic marzipan consistency has been reached.
