Aronia Berries

Dried aronia berries resemble raisins, taste deliciously like blueberries and are nice in muesli or as a snack between meals. The aronia berry, also called apple berry or black rowan berry, belong to the family of roses and are originally from Eastern North America. The fruit are pea-sized, black, often waxy, they taste sweet-tart-bitter. They are less suitable to be eaten raw but are mainly processed into juice or dried.
