Dragon Fruit

The exotic dragon fruit, also called pitahaya, originates from Central America and is also grown e.g. In Thailand. The skin of the dragon fruit is usually read, the pulp is white, rarely also red. Many tiny black seeds are spread over the pulp. Dragonfruit have a subtle, sweetish, refreshing and tropical taste that can remind one of strawberries or kiwis.

Fresh dragon fruit are 90% water, dried their content of iron, calcium, and phosphorus as well as the vitamins B, C, and E is concentrated.
